SPQ MICRO LOG 11/09/22
6:50 am: Well that was interesting. Need coffee and time to dissect the election results or pending results.
9:14 am: Coffee intake at acceptable levels for moving forward. Assessment: Unplugging from the narratives from all “sides” as the results are clear. You can do whatever you want but for me, my efforts are going to focus solely on bringing to life my best life now. Everyday.
6:28 pm: Writing. Publishing. Adapting said published writings. That’s my best life I will strive for everyday.
Timeline Micro Journaling
An interesting way to share story and gain perspective.
Good day dear reader! It’s 5:45 am, Tuesday November 8, 2022 and it looks to be an unusual day. “How unusual is it, Jim?” Honestly, I’m not sure but I do know I’ll share what I see as we go, all the way up to the end of it. What will happen? How will it all play out? Why are certain things taking place? What is the significance of all of it? All mysteries of a day to come. “But why are yo taking the time to note all of this?” That one I can answer: It’s interesting to me to capture and share moments in this manner following a pseudo event I created for myself on Sunday of this week. 5:50 am: The day begins with a weird feeling in the air. As if something has happened on a grand scale but it’s impact hasn’t been fully recognized on a more personal, inside your personal bubble space… but it’s there. Weird.
The rest of this time finds we shaking off the morning wake up grogginess while doing the morning routine chores with the pets. They have me trained and I’m doing my best to please my masters.
6:04 am: Sitting down at the PC to lay out today’s to-do’s as well as think about an organized format for this otherwise un-formatted writing endeavor. I do miss writing but couldn’t get myself coordinated enough to follow a structured regimen, let alone host a regular podcast. I have sincerely wanted to change that for many months, dare I say years now but it just wasn’t happening. Until now that is. Pardon the ramble but that’s how this thing works… I think.
Up next though is planning and preparing for the to do’s of today. Only hard set things include serving as a state witness for a murder trial. I prepared some video evidence for the prosecution. I’ll explain that more for the newcomers later as to why I would be qualified to do that later. The next thing will be to go vote with the wife before the polls close at 7:30 pm. We have very good election office here so barring a long line, that should go quick. Now, back to my coffee.
7:54 am: So what inspired all of this? the other day I read an article reflecting on Hunter S. Thompson and the “gonzo journalist” style and realized how that is so the norm now and in essence what I myself have been thinking but not putting to the screen. I have done it pen to paper, but never cared to publish those musings. Why? Because I couldn’t justify my thoughts as worthy of sharing. However, with that definition and consideration of how important those musings may be in a day, week, month, year or decades from now, I’ve changed my mind. Think about this, and I honestly have for many, many years now; “What was the perspective of those on the street during the times that were apparently significant enough to be added to the taught historical record?” The ability to observe the peripheral’s of those that were experiencing those moments in time is fascinating to me. While their perspective is just that, theirs, it can add so much more context to events that were taking place around them. That in turn can teach us, in my opinion, more about what lessons could or should have been garnered from those times for our times. So I guess you could say this effort is one of “gonzo journaling”.
10:16 am: Well that was interesting. Out from the courthouse now. A mistrial was declared to an oversight. Can’t say much but while frustrating for all, to catch an error such as this is actually a positive sign for the justice system overall. Details once I can share them legally and lawfully. None of those oversights coming from me.
10:37 am: Note on voting today: Do it. Choose what you will but ask yourself this; “Are you better off now then you were two years ago?” And even more importantly; “Why or why not?”
10:58 am: Meant to note this in the last addition: “why isn’t Election Day a national holiday?” This is the day that is the list fundamental to the American system, so why don’t we treat it as such. Thanksgiving and Christmas get more respect, and not that they shouldn’t, but they have religious overtones that as time has went on have been diluted and the sanctimonious traditions removed to ensure that “freedom of religion” wasn’t being pushed on anyone. Election Day is one that should be 100% non denominational.
And to that note I would like to add that in my efforts of expressing myself through the written and spoken word it is not my intent to influence anyone with my opinion. My ego doesn’t need to be “right” or “justified”. Instead, I would much more encourage you to pose the same questions I do for the sake of better understanding a particular issue, situation or consideration. “Why ask why?” because that’s the only way you can get an answer Mr. Budweiser ad man.
1:24 pm: One thing I know for sure, I’m doing this it is reconnecting me more with my creative and thus intuitive and imaginative side. Closer to God if you will. Spending the afternoon as a busy beaver around the house getting some routine chores done along with brainstorming thoughts for the sake of thoughts. Side election note, hearing reports of irregularities taking place in certain cities around the country. Very interesting once the dust settles I’m sure. Although I know, the end will be a no win for anyone considering the way the stage has been set from both “sides”. But fear not! There will be some dark and troubling times that our current generations haven’t faced before, but we’ll get through it. Not unscathed though.
2:26 pm: Another great thing about this micro journaling is that it is freeing my personal bad habit of putting the cart before the horse in regards to “how do I monetize this effort?” Which in all honesty is the one thing that I truly do not care to do with any of this and plenty other other content I’ve created for the online world. Don’t get me wrong, if I write a book or make a movie or whatever else inspiration feeds I to my talent pool, I will offer it up for and encourage sales, but that should never be limited by the idea of a paywall.
5:41 pm: To note, I’m in the Central time zone. Just waiting and watching the pre poll closing reports from mainstream, NBC affiliate television stations. Imagine if we used this amazing form of communication for far more “good” things.
